New Year’s Eve
We had a great New Year’s weekend with dear friends and after dinner we started talking about our life stories: as in what was it like growing up in New York in the 1940’s? What was your family like, where did you go to school? What came out of our discussion was how much do we really know about our friends lives?
Let's Talk...
If you have close friends that you grew up with you probably have a pretty good understanding of their life, but for a lot of people that have moved around, you have friends you made in your twenties, thirties or forties. You didn’t know them when they were becoming who they are today. Of course you know likes and dislikes, where they came from, scattered details of their lives, but do you really know them?
The next time you have the opportunity to spend some extended time with friends you might want to sit down with a bottle of wine and start from the beginning. I have to say it’s like reading a really good author who builds a character line by line. I bet you’ll also see why you’ve become friends and learning more will just make the bond even stronger.
Happy New Year and we’ll talk soon.
